Charming Appearance, Sophisticated Taste
Nicolas Charles Ginza Main Store is the brand's first location worldwide. The first floor offers about 20 types of sweets, including cream puffs, gateau chocolat, and pound cakes. The second-floor cafe space serves a menu centered around "L'ÉCHÂTILLON," a signature item of Ginza Chocolate Street®.
Chef Nicolas Charles is also regularly present at the store, offering the opportunity to discuss his creations directly.
Nicolas Charles refers to himself as a chef, not a pâtissier. His signature cream puffs are almost too adorable to eat. However, the true artistry lies in their preparation.
The fillings incorporate unexpected ingredients like herbs such as basil and tarragon, and rose petals—elements rarely found in traditional cream puffs. To preserve the natural aromas of these ingredients, a mousse, rather than cream, is carefully inserted into the choux pastry. This meticulous, multi-step process results in cream puffs that offer a taste akin to innovative French cuisine.
These cream puffs, a fusion of French culinary essence and innovative dessert artistry, are sure to provide a delightful surprise. We encourage you to try them.
