NEWS|A salon (social space) that bridges people and leads to new lives

Salon Takahashi Grand Opening in Ginza 8-chome

Not a bar, not a club, but an adult social space called a "salon" has been born in Ginza 8-chome. "Salon Takahashi" is a salon hosted by Keiko Takahashi, which had its grand opening on November 14th.

Interior design and architecture by Masahiko Nagata of NDS, a company based in Kyoto specializing in store design and architecture.

"Life passes by in the blink of an eye. There are so many people I want to meet, but I can't find the time. I want to have long, in-depth conversations, but I can't make the time. I wanted to change my own lifestyle, so I decided to open a salon with a small storefront in Ginza," says Keiko Takahashi.

The inspiration for opening the salon came from the very "connections between people." "Even when we say 'Let's meet again' or 'Let's have dinner sometime' through work, we're too busy to make it happen. So, I decided to create a base where I could cherish my own connections, a place where 'you can always meet someone, and everyone will come if they are here.' It's a true social space for adults."

When asked why Ginza, she replied, "As someone who loves Ginza, the most fascinating place for me was 'Salon de Shintaro' (http://shintaro.me). That's when I realized I naturally enjoyed socializing, and I completely fell in love with this town, leading me to open Salon Takahashi. Ginza offers everything from dining and drinks to flowers and thoughtful souvenirs – it's truly a playground for adults. Of course, there are beautiful women and charming gay boys here too. The charm of this town is that busy adults can relax and enjoy themselves, and the more you visit Ginza, the more your luck seems to improve."

The interior has a calm atmosphere, inspired by the ambiance of a tea room. This space will foster various new encounters and create memorable, meaningful times. Taking inspiration from the character "hashi" (bridge) from Keiko Takahashi's name, she aims for the salon to be "a bridge between people." Let's gently open the door to this adult gathering place.
