World Breakfast All Day in Jingumae offers global breakfast menus that change every two months, available all day long. For November and December, they are featuring traditional Finnish breakfast dishes from the land of Santa Claus.

Dishes and hot drinks featuring Nordic ingredients also make an appearance
World Breakfast All Day aims to share cultures from around the world through breakfast. For November and December, the theme is Finland, a land of lakes and forests. This country, known as Santa Claus's homeland and a source of charming Nordic design, is popular in Japan, and this menu offers a culinary journey through it.
The featured dish is "Karjalanpiirakka," a traditional Finnish breakfast. Originating from the Karelia region in northern Finland, it is now a common breakfast item considered a national dish.
It consists of a rye pastry filled with milk porridge, topped with "munavoi," an egg and butter spread. Served alongside are "rossoli," a salad essential to the Christmas season, sautéed mushrooms, and meatballs. Enjoying it with "glögi," a hot drink made from cranberry juice, promises to warm you from the inside out.
You can also savor "juustoleipä," a unique dessert somewhere between bread and cheese, and "lohikeitto," a warming salmon soup. During this period, cooking classes and workshops related to Finland are also planned. Please check their website for details.
The cuisine, nurtured by a long history and culture, offers a chance to discover a "new" Finland, perhaps revealing insights into the wisdom of living in a cold climate that we never knew before.
