EAT | The Hidden Gem Wine Bar Everyone's Secretly Talking About!
La Luciole, Created by the Producers of en.terrible
Tucked away on the second floor of a building in Ginza, where the sign is discreet and the elevator doesn't stop, lies La Luciole, a wine bar whose name means 'firefly' in French. Step through the door, guided by the faint glow of a firefly in the night, and you'll find a space designed for grown-ups.

Wine and Dining for the Discerning
Grove Dish, the company led by Kenichi Mori, which also operates the highly popular French bistro en.terrible, opened the wine bar La Luciole in April. It's now gaining attention as a secret, must-visit spot for those in the know, offering exquisite wine and perfectly paired dishes.
The wine list features 100 meticulously selected French wines, focusing exclusively on Burgundy and Champagne. The selection ranges from affordable bottles starting at ¥5,800 to rare vintages from DRC (Domaine de la Romanée-Conti).
To complement the wines, guests can choose between a chef's tasting menu for ¥5,000 or à la carte options, allowing for a personalized dining experience.
A signature dish, considered the 'face' of the restaurant, is the charcoal-grilled Kuroge Wagyu beef, available in both the tasting menu and à la carte. Other highlights include seared foie gras confit and warm salads that celebrate the natural flavors of vegetables. Of course, classic French accompaniments like cheese and pâté are also on offer. Fresh seasonal fish is prepared in a style that best suits its origin and freshness.
The interior design also reflects Kenichi Mori's discerning taste. The large central table is crafted from plywood used for work at the Remark, a reclaimed wood brand. Accompanying this are chic counter chairs with a raw black leather finish, Nicole chairs known for their distinctive 'swan neck' shape, and antique French furniture, all contributing to a sophisticated, high-end ambiance.
With its delicious wines, tempting dishes that make choosing between tasting menu or à la carte a delightful dilemma, and a hidden-gem ambiance promising a wonderful time, La Luciole is a place you'll want to revisit again and again – your own personal favorite.
