A Monaka by a stationery maker and a Japanese confectioner, inspired by the concept of "travel" | HIGHTIDE
HIGHTIDE
A Monaka Inspired by Travel
HIGHTIDE, a maker of stationery and general goods, has opened a limited-time store, "HIGHTIDE STORE FUKUOKA AIRPORT," within Fukuoka Airport.
To commemorate this, they collaborated with "Tokinose," a Japanese confectioner based within Umi Hachimangu Shrine in Fukuoka, to develop a new style of wagashi. Thus, "TABI-MONAKA" was born.
As the name suggests, the concept is "travel." These are stick-shaped monaka with three types of fillings: sweet bean paste, mocha, and lemon mint. They come in a vertically oriented box designed to prevent damage, making them suitable for carrying while sightseeing or on business trips.
The elegant, unique sweetness and beautiful packaging are sure to be appreciated as souvenirs. They are available at the directly managed HIGHTIDE STORE, HIGHTIDE STORE FUKUOKA AIRPORT, and Tokinose.
