An Adult's Rich Shaved Ice, Savored in an Urban Resort
Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo's Lounge & Bar "The Lobby Lounge" is serving its annual shaved ice until Friday, August 31, 2018. This summer's creation is "Watermelon and Coconut Shaved Ice," which has a cool, pure white appearance but is filled with colorful summer fruits and ice cream inside.
On top of a halved small watermelon, cubes of rich fresh mango and ice cream are piled, and it is gently enveloped in a milky
coconut sorbet, topped with aloe cubes and almond slices. The combination of juicy watermelon, rich coconut, and the mango revealed as you eat through it offers a unique flavor that lets you enjoy a resort feeling while in the city.
If you pour coconut liqueur over it to your liking, it transforms into a gorgeous flavor with a subtle hint of Western liquor. Sharing with a companion is also recommended. Enjoy the ultimate cool-down in the hotel's refreshing lobby lounge.
