Fine wines are the pinnacle of wine, born from skilled producers cultivating varietals that maximize the characteristics of their designated land. Due to their fame and reputation, their prices and rarity are naturally high. While many wish to try them at restaurants, budget constraints, the inability to finish a whole bottle, or a desire to sample a wider variety are common needs, yet opportunities are scarce.


To meet these needs, "Journées du Vin 2012" will offer fine wines by the glass for ¥700 and ¥1000, and by the carafe for ¥2000 and ¥3000. It's an event where you can enjoy wine as a more "approachable" indulgence. Given the unprecedented prices, the event is sure to be a great success.


One of the most crucial elements for fully appreciating wine is the pairing with complementary food. This initiative has garnered the support of 61 popular and renowned restaurants in Tokyo, including gastronomic French, bistros, Japanese cuisine establishments, and wine bars, all of whom will curate food pairings to match the wines offered. Starting with Chablis in July, followed by Bordeaux in October, and the South of France in January, fine wines from three French regions will be available for two weeks each, beginning on the 20th of the month.
