California-Born Ice Cream Shop Makes its Japan Debut
KIPPY'S COCO-CREAM, an organic ice cream shop that uses no dairy, only wholesome ingredients like healthy raw honey and coconut cream, has arrived in Japan. On October 16th (Friday), it will open two stores simultaneously in Tokyo's Sendagaya district, alongside the cold-pressed juice specialty shop DAVID OTTO JUICE.

KIPPY'S COCO-CREAM was born in Venice, California, in 2010. It created the world's first ice cream that contains absolutely no dairy, soy, or gluten.
The ice cream is made with organic Mexican coconuts as a base, sweetened with raw honey that has not undergone heat treatment. Fresh fruits are then mixed in, with over 10 flavors reportedly available.
KIPPY'S COCO-CREAM generously uses coconut cream and coconut water, extracted from the rich, sweet Mexican 'old coconuts' – a type of coconut noted in recent years for its anti-aging and skin-beautifying benefits.
Furthermore, it adopts raw honey, which has long been used in medicine and cosmetics for its healing properties. Raw honey, by not being heat-treated, is said to offer more potent antioxidant effects. In California, where its flagship store is located, it is favored as a delicious raw food by health-conscious Hollywood celebrities.
Also opening simultaneously is DAVID OTTO JUICE, considered the originator of cold-pressed juice, with its first store already established at Kyoto BAL. Sendagaya, where you can enjoy nutrient-rich juices and ice creams made with organic vegetables and fruits, is poised to become a new focal point for those mindful of their health and beauty.
