Luxurious Use of Kyoto Area Ingredients and Kyoto's Pure Water
This year's summer jellies focus on ingredients from the Kyoto region and Kyoto's pure water, offering a lineup of jellies with a distinctly Japanese confectionary feel. Pastry Chef Shunji Yasuda has created these sweets to allow guests to savor the atmosphere of Kyoto in summer.
The "Red Shiso Jelly" is vibrantly colored, made with abundant red shiso leaves harvested in Ohara, Kyoto. Its refreshing flavor is perfect for preventing summer fatigue. The "Plum Jelly" uses plums from Horii Farm in Aotani, Joyo City, Kyoto Prefecture. Made with high-quality, large "Jōshū-shiro" plums, it allows you to fully enjoy the authentic taste of plum.
Don't miss the creative "Sake and Lime Jelly," made with "Momo no Shizuku," a sake from Matsumoto Shuzo in Fushimi, Kyoto. The exquisite harmony created by the sake, lime juice, and lavender honey is intoxicating.
Other offerings include the "Kabusecha Jelly," featuring a fresh and unexpected combination of Gyokuro tea from Gion Tsujiri with lemon honey; "Spring Water Jelly" and "Spring Water and Yuzu Jelly," made with water from Takagamine, one of Kyoto's renowned springs; and the "Wasanbon Sugar and Black Bean Jelly," whose gentle, subtle sweetness is truly soothing. A total of seven varieties are available.
A special gift box, available for delivery, allows you to select your favorite jellies, making it a perfect gift for close friends or those you wish to thank.
