A World of Pastries Fusing French and Asian Flavors

Fauchon began as a delicatessen selling spices, fresh fish, and wine, opened by founder Auguste Fauchon in the Madeleine Place, Paris, in 1886. In 2003, they launched vibrantly colored, design-forward éclairs, sparking an éclair craze.

Fauchon's Japan Development Chef, Antony Suttree, and Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo's Executive Pastry Chef, Naoya Okamura, have combined their diverse skills and imagination to create the original "Fauchon Afternoon Tea."

In addition to éclairs adorned with the Shangri-La Hotel, Tokyo logo, Chef Suttree will present a savory éclair featuring foie gras and salmon for the first time in Japan. Paired with Fauchon's signature aromatic flavored teas, it promises an elegant afternoon.

Chef Okamura's highly popular mango pudding also makes a comeback. Its rich coconut milk flavor, smooth texture, and chewy tapioca offer a taste rooted in the hotel's Asian origins. Furthermore, a matcha cake, with its harmonious blend of matcha's bitterness and the cream's subtle sweetness, expresses Japanese confectionery elements.

Another highlight is "Fauchon After Five," available on weekdays from 5 PM. Enjoy new éclairs and sophisticated finger foods, accompanied by unlimited pours of over ten types of sparkling wine and cocktails.

In the afternoon, listen to live piano music; in the evening, gaze upon the city lights. Step inside to discover an artistic world where French and Asian tastes merge, crafted by two pastry chefs.
