The art exhibition and pop-up event "UNCLE RINNE ART EXHIBITION," which fuses bicycles and art, will be held at California General Store in Shonan. The event runs from Saturday, March 8 to Sunday, March 16, 2025.

"uncle_rinne" is both a character name and an artist's name. His charming persona, a bearded figure who loves cycling and surfing, defines his daily life. Whether as a traveler, a road racer, or a city cruiser, Rinne teaches us the joy of a life with bicycles.

He began posting his work on Instagram in 2021, and his unique worldview quickly garnered attention. His art, which masterfully blends cycling aesthetics with a captivating character, became a global talking point, attracting over 100,000 followers and fans in more than 50 countries.

In 2023, his work was exhibited at the "UCI Cycling World Championships" in Glasgow, where he also designed the event's visuals, further expanding his creative reach. He also created the main visual for the "CMWC 2023 Yokohama," a messenger world championship held in Yokohama that same year.

The venue, California General Store, is a select shop rooted in West Coast surf culture, with keywords like "wellness" and "sustainability." Originating from a legendary surf shop, it fosters a culture, fashion, and community that promotes a healthy, free, and natural lifestyle.

This exhibition will feature new artworks that blend bicycle and surf cultures. On March 8th and 9th, an opening event will include the pop-up "Bike Chill Market - Outdoor Living Life -," which proposes a new lifestyle through cargo bikes.

The outdoor wooden deck space will host various vendors, including pre-orders for Copenhagen-based cargo bikes "OMNIUM Cargo," a mobile shop by a popular Kamakura cake store using cargo bikes, handmade messenger bags, and original furniture.
