Reflecting on Three Years of Progress

The "Architecture Lecture Series 217," organized by AAF (NPO Art and Architect Festa), an organization dedicated to the advancement of art and the social environment through architecture, is a talk session that garners significant support from students and young architects as a platform for stimulating exchange among professionals. Each session invites prominent architects as guests, alongside architects Ryūichi Ashizawa and Takahiro Hiranuma, who explore the possibilities and directions of architecture.

The "Architecture Lecture Series," which began in March 2010, reaches its final installment for the 2012 fiscal year. In commemoration of the three years of activity in this project, the two architects who have consistently moderated the sessions, Ryūichi Ashizawa and Takahiro Hiranuma, will be featured as guest speakers for this event.




This time, the special facilitator will be architectural historian Shunsuke Kurakata. Kurakata is an associate professor at the Graduate School of Osaka City University, where he conducts research, and he also leads his own seminar on architecture called "Kurakata Juku," demonstrating his commitment to proactive engagement.
