This summer, Japan will welcome the 8C Competizione, a car named after the thoroughbreds that have etched their names into the illustrious history of Alfa Romeo, Italy's premier legendary sports car brand.
The passionate 4.7-liter V8 engine, generating up to 450 horsepower and enveloped in classical, sexy styling, will produce a soprano exhaust note that uplifts the spirit, while its supple and gentle ride promises to offer us the ultimate driving pleasure.

Coinciding with this, a compilation album has been released, one that can truly be called the soundtrack to the captivating 8C, a sports car to be experienced with all five senses. It is a profound honor for me, who has been captivated by this car since its unveiling at the Paris Auto Show (Mondial de l'Automobile) in September 2006, to have participated as a selector in this project.
The project began early this year. In the spring, I traveled to a test course in Barolo, a town situated between Milan and Turin in Italy, to check the in-car sound environment. Through actual test drives, I gained much inspiration and proceeded to select tracks befitting this exclusive car, of which only 500 units will be produced worldwide (70 in Japan).

The album is finally complete, featuring the beautiful piano and strings of "Fok" by the 20-year-old Icelandic rising star Ólafur Arnalds; "Groovy Samba," a Sergio Mendes cover and an exclusive track for this CD by Nicola Conte, who recently visited Japan from Italy to participate in my party, Impro; and a track from the solo album of my longtime friend Raphael Sebbag of U.F.O. Carefully selected cinematic and emotional tracks from around the globe—from the UK, Germany, Denmark, and Argentina to Peru—are included. I hope that music fans, Alfa owners, and everyone who will become an owner in the future will listen to this album.

And embark on a journey filled with romance with this CD.

glorious history will arrive to Japan.
Classical and sexy styling with it's maximum 450hp drive 4.7L, 8-Cylinder V engine will give a soprano of anexhaust note which brings you to the peak and it's gentle drive will provide you a driving pleasure. A compilation as a soundtrack for this attractive sports car that you can feel with your five senses will be released at the same time.

Since I was attracted to this car from 2006 September when it was first shown at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris, I am honored to be the music selector of this project.After the project started early this year I went to Barocco in Italy where is a city located in between Trino and Milan, to see Alfa Romeo test course for driving this car and I was inspired in many ways. This car will be sold 500 cars in the world, only 70 in Japan so the track selection had also become very exclusive.

20year-old new star from Iceland Olafur Arnalds beautiful track with piano and strings, "FOK". And Nicola Conte who came to Japan to join my party "Impro" also made an exclusive track for this compilation only "Groove Samba" Sergio Mendes' cover song. Also Raphael Sebbag my old friend from U.F.O. provided his track too. Album is filled with tracks from England to Germany to Denmark to Argentina, all over the world to join this emotional and cinematic compilation.

Not only the music lover but the owners of alfa romeo car and people who are going to be the owner of it's car can listen and enjoy this album and share the romantic journey.
