As a DJ, I'll be introducing sounds that catch my ear daily—or perhaps things and people that evoke sound—here. My hope is to inspire you to weave more music into your life, much like fashion, art, or fine food and drink, making it just a little richer.
Being as a DJ, I'm introducing some "Sounds" (or something or persons that I feel the "Sound" from) in here, such as fashion, art, good drink and food, I hope we can put some more music in our lives so as to make it a little bit more satisfying.
Tumo / My Thing (Jupiter / P-Vine)

For the past few years, music originating from Nordic countries—Sweden, Norway, and Finland—has garnered attention, particularly within the club jazz scene.
This includes KOOP, who will return to Japan in September, and the label Raw Fusion (Sweden), which was previously featured on OPENERS. Then there are Bugge Wesseltoft and Jazzland Records (Norway), whose sound-making evokes a modern musical sensibility.
Furthermore, artists like The Five Corners Quintet (Finland), who ignited the jazz band scene, have cultivated an image of stylish jazz, attracting a younger audience that might have previously shied away from jazz.
And now, a remarkable artist has emerged from Finland, this time in the realm of soul music.
His name is Tumo.
While it might seem difficult at first glance to find a connection between Finland and soul, I'm unsure if it's due to the rare and positive influence of global standards or if it's a spontaneous mutation. Regardless, the fact remains that I was genuinely surprised, for the first time in a long while.
This masterpiece of blue-eyed soul, brimming with pop sensibility, evokes early Jamiroquai, while drawing inspiration from legendary artists like Sly & The Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield, and Stevie Wonder.
With a background as a jazz pianist and extensive participation in prominent bands, he has now made his debut as a new generation soul artist, handling both lyrics and composition.
To navigate this sweltering summer, perhaps we need fresh, energetic music like his.
Musics from Northern Europe such as Sweden, Norway,Finland has always been the buzz in the club jazz scene these few years.
KOOP who will be back in Japan this coming September and also labels like Raw Fusion (Sweden) which I introduced at this Openers before, and Bugge Wesseltoft, Jazzland Records(Norway) have their own modern music feeling. And theThe Five Corners Quintet(Finland) brought many young listeners to the Jazz band scene by producing some stylish sound.
Next in the Soul Music genre, this artist has arrived from Finland.
his called Tumo.
It seems, Finland and Soul are not well connected, maybe because under this Global Standard gave a good influence, or it was a mutation, I had no idea where this came from but it certainly blew
me away.
It reminds legendary artists like Sly&The Family Stone, Curtis Mayfield to Stevie Wonder,
this Blue Eyed Soul masterpiece even recalls the early era of Jamiroquai.
As being a Jazz pianist and playing as a back band for many famous artists, this talented man as made his debut as a new generation Soul Artist.
I think we will need something fresh and energetic music like this to get over this hot sweaty summer.
