Ryuichi Sakamoto on Women
Ryuichi Sakamoto, Part 7: Speaking His Mind on Women
Fashion director Tomoki Tsuguma asks the Professor a direct question.
And it's not about fashion...
Answer: Ryuichi SakamotoPhoto by JAMANDFIX

What do you seek in women?
Please tell us, down to the smallest detail.
Tomoki Tsuguma

The Basic Principle of Life: Matriarchy
What I seek in women—strength. Reliability.
And beauty, of course. Though that might sound ordinary.
Also, it would be nice if they could earn money. Like lionesses, for example.
The females hunt for food, don't they? The males do nothing.
For nearly 4 billion years, the basic principle of life has been matriarchy. Males don't have much to do. They're not even necessary.
Because they have so much free time, they wage wars and make money.
Letting women do everything while I relax. Following the basic principles of life.
Yet, I seem to be working quite a lot myself (laughs).
