“I'LL Be Watching You: Inside the Police 1980-1983”

THE POLICE will take the stage at the Tokyo Dome on the 14th.
Alongside the fervor of their reunion tour, spanning 41 cities worldwide 25 years after their disbandment, guitarist Andy Summers' photography exhibition, “I'LL Be Watching You: Inside the Police 1980-1983,” opens at Mirai Gallery (Gallery/Champagne Bar) in Roppongi.

Unpublished Photos Taken from Within THE POLICE

This exhibition, “I'LL Be Watching You: Inside the Police 1980-1983,” by Andy Summers, is a traveling photography exhibition that accompanies the band's world tour, primarily featuring the photography collection published by TASCHEN.

It showcases previously unseen photographs taken from the inner world of THE POLICE, accessible only to band members, and is being held in conjunction with their Tokyo Dome and Osaka Dome performances.

During THE POLICE's world tours between 1980 and 1983, which spanned diverse locations from America and Australia to Japan, Summers captured everything that inspired him: candid shots of band members during rehearsals and personal moments at parties, as well as scenes of rock and roll, fans, landscapes, and still lifes.

Mirai Gallery: A Dual Space of Art and Lounge

Mirai Gallery, previously popular in Daikanyama, relocated and reopened last November at the foot of Keyaki-zaka in Roppongi. By day, it functions as a gallery showcasing diverse domestic and international expressions, while by night, it buzzes as a sophisticated lounge where patrons can enjoy champagne and wine amidst art. Notably, over 50 types of champagne are available, from standard selections to rare vintages.
