"NATSUMATSURI BEACH EXOTICA" to be Held on August 24

Just a one-minute walk from Yoyogi Station, "Yoyogi VILLAGE by kurkku" is a commercial facility featuring various containers spread across 600 tsubo (approx. 1,983 sqm). This space was meticulously crafted by leading creators from various fields, including Takeshi Kobayashi and Masamichi Katayama, who pursued their "thoughts and dedication" in its design, interior, and restaurants. In this urban oasis, a spectacular one-day-only event, "NATSUMATSURI BEACH EXOTICA," will be held on Sunday, August 24.

Abundant Food and a Wealth of Special Content

Yoyogi VILLAGE's largest event, "NATSUMATSURI BEACH EXOTICA," which attracted over 2,000 visitors last year, will be held again this year.

The event will feature a plethora of special menus, including fresh juices made with organic ingredients and authentic German dogs prepared by a German team. Additionally, there will be workshops for making Hawaiian leis, candles, and birdhouses, as well as an original photo booth. You can also enjoy commemorative photos taken by a professional photographer.

From 2 PM, a talk show will be held featuring Seijun Nishihata, the plant hunter who produced Yoyogi VILLAGE's vast garden, along with Reiko Tomori of the animal welfare group Rencontrer Mignon and Shigesato Itoi as navigators, discussing our relationship with animals and plants. Furthermore, from 7 PM to 9:30 PM, there will be 10-minute sand art live performances every 30 minutes, and a special pre-booked live performance by Salyu × Takeshi Kobayashi has also been decided.

Moreover, in collaboration with "Mirror Balls," known for their popular space design using mirror balls, mirror balls will appear at Yoyogi VILLAGE. Let's fully enjoy the fleeting summer in this oasis in the heart of the city.
