Anticipation Builds for Collaborations with Artists and Cafes

"Apart Gallery & Library" was conceived to offer visitors inspiration and discovery, serving as a "vessel" for expression and communication. Its name is derived from the initial letters of its five core concepts: ARCHITECTURE, PHOTOGRAPH, ART, RENOVATION, and TRAVEL.

Located on the third floor of the 833 Building, which resembles a pencil and stands near Yoga Station and the Setagaya Art Museum, the space faces the Kan-pachi street. This approximately 40-square-meter area, fully renovated, features a striking 14-meter-long, pure white wall running straight across, complemented by warm, wooden bookshelves. It houses around 300 photography and visual books, and approximately 300 architecture books, curated by photographer Fushito Nakamura and others involved in the "Apart Gallery & Library" project.

Adjacent to this is "SALAD BOWL," a project space that opened on the first floor this past June. Future plans include collaborations with artists and cafes, allowing for diverse uses such as holding events on the first floor in conjunction with exhibitions on the third.

The multifaceted nature of "Apart Gallery & Library" promises new possibilities. Together with the modern, open "SALAD BOWL" on the first floor, expectations are high for its role as a space fostering mutual exchange.
