“Cat-eye” is a style of eyewear frame named after its resemblance to a cat's eyes. It is also known as “fox-eye” and is commonly found in vintage models. It gained global popularity after Audrey Hepburn wore them in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's.

This collaboration centers on the theme of “Cateye,” created by women, for women. Ayame designer Yu Imaizumi and the female staff of Blinc and Blinc Base held numerous meetings to devise a style that would be easy for Japanese women to wear. By incorporating the opinions of both creators and sellers, they have softened the typically sharp impression of cat-eye frames, achieving a well-balanced silhouette. They also paid close attention to the frame colors, carefully selecting hues that suit Japanese women from dozens of color samples. The collection is available in four colors: black, red, gray, and brown.



In anticipation of the release, a social media campaign titled “100 Cateye Women” is also underway. One hundred women of diverse ages and professions are featured wearing cat-eye glasses on the official social media accounts of Blinc Base and Ayame, showcasing a fascinating array of individual styles.
