Designers Leading the Fashion Industry Participate

The “ultra boost collective” announced this time includes not only Stella McCartney but also Kris Van Assche and Junichi Abe of “kolor,” designers who lead the fashion industry. In addition, Dirk Schönberger, Creative Director of adidas Sport Style Division, and James Carnes, Creative Director of adidas Sport Performance Division, are also participating.

Running Shoes Dressed in a Color Palette Unique to the Spring/Summer Season

The “ultra boost by Stella McCartney” running shoes combine adidas’s technology with Stella McCartney’s signature ladylike style. They are based on “BOOST” foam, which contains thousands of energy capsules to ensure comfortable running. Available in a color palette of black, smoke pink, and eggshell, they fuse high-performance technology with stylish design.


Stella McCartney states, “Every season, we strive to create items that combine beautiful style and comfort using advanced technology to support athletes in achieving their best performance. Women are increasingly conscious of fitness and spending more time in workout wear. Therefore, balancing functionality and style is becoming more important, so we always aim for an innovative approach.”

The seven models in total, created by the five designers, clearly reflect each designer’s interpretation of performance and express their unique, personal aesthetic. The shoes, offering both functionality and design, will be released sequentially at select limited shops.
