A New Boutique with a "Palazzo" Ambiance
Valentino Boutique Flagship Store Opens in Rome
Just steps from the Spanish Steps in Rome, Italy, a new flagship store has opened in the 16th-century Palazzo Mignanelli, also serving as a hub for Valentino's creative endeavors.

The New Boutique's Concept: "A Fusion of Old and New"
The new Valentino flagship store further advances the innovative store concept developed by Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli in collaboration with architect David Chipperfield. With a concept of "a fusion of old and new," it has been finished with a palazzo-like atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the new store is the magnificent 6-meter high atrium that opens up at the entrance. This grand space, made of terrazzo and marble, is a monumental area symbolizing the new store concept, with its exquisitely carved columns and walls. The various floors of the store are connected by two grand marble staircases.
The interior, meticulously designed to enhance the appeal of the displayed items, features understated yet high-quality materials such as gray Venetian terrazzo with embedded Carrara marble, wood, marble, leather, carpet, and carbon fiber, all used luxuriously.
The Women's Space: Where Old and New Concepts Intersect
The ground floor of the women's space follows the traditional store concept. Each room, arranged in a column, features a different architectural style. Each room, where items are displayed by category, is a curated space based on a distinct theme, from its color palette and textures to its lighting.
The women's first floor, created with the new store concept, is a space designed to resemble a galleria, characterized by its polished white arched ceiling. Collections are displayed on carbon fiber display units.
The Men's Space: A Series of Integrated Environments
The men's space, spanning three floors (ground, first, and second), features a design motif of geological strata with terrazzo walls and palladiana (stone slabs). Polished brass fixtures run along the walls, supporting oak display shelves and hanging racks where collections are presented.
This new flagship store in Rome not only brings together men's and women's collections but also introduces Italy's first made-to-measure service for men's denim.
