Focusing on the Phenomenon of Excess Melanin Production

The "MELANISM" event draws inspiration from the phenomenon of excess melanin production, focusing on the color black. It explores the profound allure of black from various perspectives.

The "Black Mountaineering by White Mountaineering" line, a collaboration with "White Mountaineering," features seven items all finished in black, available in unisex sizing. The Balmacaan coat is crafted from an original textile combining lightweight linen with GORE-TEX. By using different materials for the sleeves and hem, it adds a sporty touch to the soft texture of natural fibers.

Don't miss the VARSITY JACKET, made with the functional material "SAITOS," known for its waterproof, windproof, and breathable properties. It uses nylon taffeta with a subdued sheen and features taped seams on the inside for a 3-layer construction. The long-sleeved shirt is a striking piece, pieced together from three different shades of denim, while another option showcases the hummingbird pattern, the main textile of the "White Mountaineering" Spring/Summer 2015 collection, throughout. Additionally, the collection includes mannish shorts with a deep black check pattern and two types of T-shirts featuring the brand's signature graphic prints.

From "HYKE x the POOL aoyama," a collaboration with the fashion brand "HYKE," helmed by Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode, three women's items are presented.

The first is a field jacket, notable for its relaxed fit and dropped shoulders. Originally in HYKE's signature OLIVE DRAB, it has been transformed into black for a more minimalist and modern aesthetic. The second is a crewneck shirt made from oxford fabric, blending a dressy item with elements of vintage sweatshirts for a casual yet chic and sophisticated look. The final piece is a half-sleeve sweatshirt crafted from a dense, crisp cotton material. Its distinctive cut, with wide shoulders and sleeves, and the exaggerated design of the gusset (sweat guard) are key features.
