Masami Wake | A Wedding Bouquet for Him
FLORALUXE
The season of the June Bride has arrived.
Wedding Bouquets for Him
JUNE BRIDE――June, the month of Juno, the goddess who protects women and presides over marriage. The June Bride tradition, born from the legend that marrying in June ensures a lifetime of happiness blessed by the goddess, is here. At FLORALUXE, we propose bouquets for men, too.

Who decided that only women should carry bouquets?
Perhaps men carrying bouquets could be quite appealing.
We're seeing an increase in "decoration men" who wear floral corsages and other accessories.
The boutonnière, worn by the groom in his buttonhole, originated from a single flower taken from the bride's bouquet. However, recent whispers from the wedding industry suggest that more grooms are showing a keen interest in their bride's bouquet.
Some men go beyond simply wanting to "carry this bouquet" and express their passion for flowers by requesting "specific flowers to be included in the bouquet."
For such men, FLORALUXE presents bouquets designed to be carried by men as well.
At the National Symposium of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD), an organization I belong to, held in Chicago two years ago, a group of male designers presented a self-produced bouquet show that received the highest applause of the symposium that year.

Bouquets designed by men, for men.
A "COOL!" aesthetic.
It was then that I found inspiration for the flowers men are seeking.
I have a feeling that in the near future, paired bouquets – exquisite combinations for the couple – will become a wedding trend.
