MIUMIU
Flagship Store Opens with Fashion Show and Party
A Miu Miu Evening Attended by Fashion Socialites from Around the World
On Saturday, March 28th, the Miu Miu flagship store relocated and reopened in Aoyama. Ahead of the new store's opening, designed by Swiss architectural unit Herzog & de Meuron (the same architects behind Prada Aoyama), a fashion show and party were held. Guests flocked from around the world for this special evening.

Miu Miu's Wonderland is Complete
The Miu Miu Aoyama store, long veiled in secrecy, revealed itself on the day of the reception. Designed by Swiss architectural unit Herzog & de Meuron, the Miu Miu Aoyama store is a box-shaped design without glass or logos, marked by a large metallic facade. Incidentally, the Prada Aoyama store across the street, which stands out with its unique design, was also handled by Herzog & de Meuron. A new landmark has been born on Tokyo's Omotesando.
Herzog & de Meuron Also Designed the Event Venue
After the reception at the Miu Miu Aoyama store, guests were transported by arranged limousines to the next venue. In the lobby of Bellesalle Shibuya Garden, the next location, an orange wall with Tod's pattern cutouts appeared. Guests passed through this space to descend to the show venue in the basement. Herzog & de Meuron also designed this vast venue for this one-night-only event.
Within the store, motifs from the brocade fabric used for the bag and shoe shelves and sofas were applied to the plastic wall decorations, focusing on the Miu Miu Aoyama store's design through altered and layered materials. A large chair monument was suspended from the ceiling above the runway, completing a show space fitting for this event themed "Hybrid."
Miuccia Appears at the Finale of the Runway Show
As guests took their seats on colorful chairs with cards indicating seat numbers and names, or on curved benches, the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection runway show began. The collection featured nostalgic tweed skirts, patent leather coats dyed in vivid colors and embossed with crocodile patterns, blouses adorned with large ruffles, and sparkling bijoux earrings. Guests were captivated by the interplay of colors, prints, and diverse textures. When Miuccia Prada appeared for the finale, the applause grew even louder.
Guests Gathered from Around the World for This Special Evening
Following the show, a party commenced, hosting approximately 2,000 guests. DJ performances by Nicolas Jaar energized the venue. The event was attended by many of the world's leading influencers, including models, fashion industry professionals, architects, and artists, who enjoyed a unique, one-night-only experience in a surreal space reminiscent of pop art. Their experiences were shared globally through their social media.
