Launching a Collaboration Sunglasses with Thierry Lasry

Fendi has launched a capsule collection of sunglasses for Spring/Summer 2015, in collaboration with French eyewear designer Thierry Lasry.

A Collection for the Strong, Sensual, and Elegant Woman

The newly released capsule collection draws inspiration from the 1960 film "La Dolce Vita," set in Rome. With a concept of "Futuristic Vintage," it features designs that blend vintage aesthetics with the latest modern and avant-garde touches.

The graphic design, originating from the late 1980s to early 1990s, was selected by Fendi's Creative Director Silvia Venturini Fendi and Thierry Lasry from Fendi's archive collections. Incorporating styles of vintage frames and materials that symbolize Lasry's designs, the collection evokes an elegant, sensual, yet pop impression.

The capsule collection includes two stylish models: "Fanny," with acetate wide frames and a soft cat-eye shape, and "Sylvy," an oval sunglass with large square frames. Each comes in four variations with different color designs and lenses.

To celebrate the launch of the capsule collection, a cocktail party was held during Paris Fashion Week. The venue recreated the atmosphere of the film "La Dolce Vita," featuring a unique setup called "Twitter Mirror"—a service first provided to a brand by Twitter—allowing guests to post their own selfies in real-time. Many guests, adorned in the capsule collection with their own personal styles, enjoyed an exceptionally feminine and elegant evening.

On the same day, a new short film titled "Morphing to the Beat: Who's That Girl?" was released, starring Anna Cleveland, daughter of iconic 70s and 80s model Pat Cleveland. As she changes her sunglasses, her style transforms, portraying her as a series of cute and pop-inspired women.
