Limited Edition T-Shirt Featuring David Bowie, Photographed by Masayoshi Sukita

Italian casual brand GAS has collaborated with "ONO Arte Contemporanea," an art gallery in Bologna, for the photography exhibition "DAVID BOWIE 'HEROES'." GAS's creative team selected photographs of David Bowie taken by photographer Masayoshi Sukita, which are then printed alongside the brand logo. These T-shirts will be sold as a limited edition of 2,000 pieces worldwide, each with a serial number. In Japan, a limited quantity for both men and women is scheduled to be available from mid-April at five domestic stores.

A Photographer Who Has Championed Bowie's Timelessness for Over 40 Years

The photography exhibition "DAVID BOWIE 'HEROES'" by Masayoshi Sukita is ongoing until Sunday, May 10th. It features an exhibition of archival works of David Bowie that Sukita has continuously captured. A significant highlight is the unprecedented display of 40 pieces related to Bowie's film "The Man Who Fell to Earth," which has generated considerable buzz.

The personas of Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke, and Major Tom, as depicted in album covers through the photographs by Sukita and David Bowie, left such a powerful impact that they seemed like Bowie's alter egos.

With each album release, Bowie's transformations shocked generations. His memorable, avant-garde costumes were distinctive, not only establishing him as a great artist but also widely recognizing him as a style icon.

The two photographs chosen by GAS's creative team for this occasion were candidates for the cover of the album "HEROES" and were actually used in "Bowie V-2 Schneider" and "Bowie MY-MY / MY-MY." On the T-shirts, the original photos are layered over photographic film, further emphasizing the impact of the images themselves.
