Lladro, Spain's premier porcelain art brand, is collaborating with Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku to present the "Lladro Museum Exhibition ~An Elegant Soirée of Ladies~" from Saturday, May 1st to Monday, May 31st.

On Wednesday, May 19th, a "Luncheon to Enjoy the Lladro Museum and French Cuisine" will be held.

"The Rose Garden of Aranjuez" (Out of Print)
This is a rare opportunity to see approximately 50 pieces, from rare works from the brand's early days (1950s) specially brought from the Spanish headquarters to recent masterpieces and popular works, all gathered in one place for the "Lladro Museum Exhibition ~An Elegant Soirée of Ladies~," the first collaboration of its kind with a hotel in Japan.
"Cinderella <First Steps to the Palace>" (pictured above), displayed in the 3rd-floor main lobby, is one of Lladro's high-porcelain works, a true work of art created with the utmost skill and expression by Lladro artists. Other high-porcelain works can also be admired in the hotel's restaurants during this exhibition.
Furthermore, "The Rose Garden of Aranjuez" (pictured left), known as a Lladro vintage work, is a historically valuable piece that went out of print in 1999 after its limited sale ended. Archive pieces from the Lladro family's private collection are being specially unveiled to the public for this event.

Throughout the exhibition period until Monday, May 31st, special menus created by the head chefs will be available at Keio Plaza Hotel's French restaurant <Ambroisie>, Kaiseki restaurant <Sojuan>, and Chinese restaurant <Nanyuan>.
A special event, "Luncheon to Enjoy the Lladro Museum and French Cuisine," is also scheduled for Wednesday, May 19th. This event will feature a talk by Jérôme de Chuc, President of Lladro Japan, and Shigehiro Hamada, Chairman of the Japan Flamenco Association, sharing stories behind the creation of Lladro pieces, along with a special menu. Additionally, Keio Plaza Hotel will hold a raffle for Lladro pieces for those who order a commemorative menu for the Lladro Museum Exhibition (for purchases of 5,000 yen or more).
