Runway Show in London After Seven Years

Inside Galeria Melissa London, the space is set in monochrome, maximizing the expression of Gareth Pugh's concept of 'modern armour.' The exhibition features looks styling his signature pieces with Melissa shoes, alongside a film created exclusively for this event by filmmaker Ruth Hogben. The iconic Melissa x Gareth Pugh Ascension heel is also on display, offering a full immersion into the brand's world, often described as wearable sculpture. The designer himself hosted a launch event recently, and this installation is scheduled to run until May 29th (Friday).

Born in the UK, Gareth Pugh has redefined modern luxury and made his name known worldwide. A graduate of Central Saint Martins in London, his garments are described as 'wearable sculpture.' He consistently evolves his designs by incorporating experimental forms, volumes, and innovative materials. He creates unprecedented works by mixing materials like plastic bags and acrylic with silk, leather, and cashmere.

Gareth Pugh debuted at London Fashion Week in February 2005 as part of Fashion East. While he has participated in Paris Fashion Week since the Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, Gareth Pugh announced a show in London, the origin of his career, on Saturday, February 21st. Melissa is the main sponsor, and the brand's classic 'Melissa Soldier' model will be styled with all the looks presented.

London is where it all began for me, and I see this as the perfect opportunity to celebrate my 10th anniversary with the people who have supported me. This series of events, encompassing film installations, runway shows, and interactive digital experiences, is poised to become a significant social media campaign broadcasting the designer's vision globally.
