Born from Psychedelic Art Inspiration
Anna Sui's love for rock music is well-known. She began designing fashion with the desire to create styles for rock stars and concertgoers. Rock music is that important to her, and she is deeply interested not only in the music itself but also in the movements and culture surrounding it. She was particularly captivated by the psychedelic sounds and art of the 1960s, which she encountered in her youth, and that fascination remains strong today.
The allure of psychedelia, which has never faded for Anna Sui over the years, shines on. The 2010 Beach Collection draws its inspiration from this very psychedelic art.
The main visual features Anna Sui's signature butterflies and roses descending into a psychedelic world, a design brimming with the joy of freely soaring amidst vibrant colors. This motif adorns the packaging of various collection items (excluding limited editions), including the body of the 5-color "Eye Color Collection."
