Japan-Exclusive Size of "SOMMET" to Launch Early

Bally to Hold Pop-Up Store at Isetan Shinjuku

From January 21 (Wed) to January 27 (Tue), Bally will open a pop-up store at the Isetan Shinjuku store's handbag promotion space. The "SOMMET" in a Japan-exclusive size and limited-edition bags for Mitsukoshi and Isetan department stores will be available for early purchase.

Bags in a Smaller Size for Japanese Women Are a Must-See

With over 160 years of history, Bally has consistently offered high-quality, sophisticated designs that embody Swiss craftsmanship. In 2014, the brand welcomed Pablo Coppola as its new Design Director, pursuing a more realistic luxury style. The "SOMMET" bag, unveiled in the Fall/Winter 2014 season as his first collection, quickly became an iconic brand piece with its simple, modern design that fully showcases the beauty of its premium leather.

This pop-up store will feature the Spring/Summer 2015 collection's iconic bags, including "BLOOM," "SOMMET," and "CORNER." Additionally, a Japan-exclusive smaller size of the "SOMMET," tailored for petite Japanese women, will be available for early purchase. It comes in five colors: bone (white), black, dark cherry, jaguar green, and dusty pink.

The "SOMMET FOLD," an evolved version of the "SOMMET," will also be introduced. The "SOMMET FOLD" exudes sophisticated modernity with its multicolor design and offers enhanced functionality, such as a two-way仕様 with a shoulder strap. Delightfully, a small size of the "SOMMET FOLD," perfectly proportioned for Japanese women, will also be exclusively available at Mitsukoshi and Isetan.

During the event period, the latest shoe collection will also be available for early purchase at the second-floor shoe promotion space. Furthermore, the interior of both the first and second-floor stores will be adorned with cherry blossoms that have been coaxed into early bloom by plant hunter Seijun Nishihata, creating a space that evokes the early arrival of spring.
This event will also be held at Ginza Mitsukoshi and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi for one week starting February 4 (Wed).
