Bally Fall/Winter Campaign Visuals by Pablo Coppola

The campaign visuals for Bally's 2016 Autumn/Winter collection, conceived by Design Director Pablo Coppola, were shot in collaboration with photographer Jack Davison. The resulting works vividly capture the atmosphere of a 1970s studio and the lifestyle of eccentric youths, brought to life by a diverse cast of models.

Bally, as Seen Through the Lens of Jack Davison

The campaign visuals for the 2016 Autumn/Winter collection from Bally, the Swiss luxury brand founded in 1851, were captured under the modern vision of Design Director Pablo Coppola. For this campaign, Bally collaborated with London-based emerging photographer Jack Davison, who powerfully interprets and portrays eccentric youths.

“I’m a go-with-the-flow kind of person. I like to dive in and trust my intuition,” says Davison, describing his improvisational style that yields surprisingly unique results. For this shoot, eight models from various generations were cast. The lineup includes established model Guinevere Van Seenus, as well as next-generation IT models such as Finnlay Davis, Thibaud Charon, and the 15-year-old Dutch model Ina Maribo Jensen, resulting in a collection of contemporary visuals brimming with individuality.

The photoshoot took place in April 2016 at Sunbeam Studios in London. The resulting images capture the essence of the eccentric lifestyle and the atmosphere of an artist's studio in the 1970s.

Coppola commented on the visuals: “I was drawn to Jack’s intimacy in his portraiture and his talent for capturing that. There’s a real emotion there. For AW16, I wanted to bring a new approach [a diverse cast of models] by highlighting the personality of the group as a whole. This collective is made up of different types, from stars like Guinevere to newcomers like Ina. Jack focuses on each of them and captures their essence. The series of photographs may seem disparate at first glance, but as you look, you’ll notice a common spirit running through them. That spirit embodies the mood of Bally this season and going forward.”

A conversation between Coppola and Davison will be featured in the AW16 edition of the "Bally Journal" catalogue, scheduled for release in August in stores and online.

The campaign will debut in the July 25th issue of LOVE Autumn Winter, followed by appearances in major fashion and lifestyle magazines worldwide in September. Digital and social media campaigns are also planned.
