Bottega Veneta and Nobuyoshi Araki: A Collaboration
Two figures intertwine hands on a faded street corner, lean into each other, and gaze into the lens. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection, inspired by dance, features soft pastel tones mixed with dark navy and blue. Fresh and dynamic styles are accented by elegant T-strap sandals and Intrecciato bags. Creative Director Tomas Maier had this to say about the campaign photos, captured through Mr. Araki's unique worldview:
"Beyond mere provocation, Araki's work possesses a powerful sincerity and a poignant human emotion that makes it unforgettable. He has his own visual language, so I was very curious to see how this season's collection would be interpreted. I am extremely pleased with the results of this collaboration."
The Spring/Summer campaign photos by Nobuyoshi Araki are scheduled for release in fashion magazines starting February. Concurrently, a documentary video chronicling the photoshoot will also be unveiled in the Art of Collaboration video series on the official website.
