Spring Hues, Voluminous Swing Dresses

Brands reborn through new designer appointments are also emerging in Tokyo. "Hanae Mori designed by Yu Amatsu." Yu Amatsu has been chosen as the designer. Her debut collection opened with a couture-inspired white long dress reminiscent of a wedding gown. Ensembles featuring lace, indigo blue, and butterfly prints, these are light garments that blend the brand's icons with trendy motifs. Beyond dresses, blouses and skirts stand out more than suits. A sheer organza dress with a butterfly print closed the show, feeling decidedly modern and wearable. For her own brand, "A Degree Fahrenheit," Amatsu presented a collection with a sporty aesthetic.

Dresscamp, a brand designed by Toshikazu Iwatani, who also works as a textile designer, features dresses with generous volume in materials like organza with kiss marks and animal prints. For next spring, the mood is about elegantly combining different textures such as denim with tulle, and cotton with lace. Bold motif prints are also designed using the same textiles for both men's and women's wear. Iwatani also serves as the design director for the bridal brand "YUMI KATSURA." In spring, flowing printed dresses and skirts are likely to be popular. Pairing them with gladiator sandals or flat shoes is recommended.
