Parisian Brand JEROME DREYFUSS Opens Highly Anticipated Flagship Store in Japan

JEROME DREYFUSS (ジェロームドレフュス), the bag brand from Paris, has opened its much-awaited flagship store in Minami-Aoyama. This coveted brand, loved by celebrities such as Keira Knightley, Kate Bosworth, and Sarah Jessica Parker, has finally arrived in Japan.

Limited Edition Bags with a Special Touch Also Released

JEROME DREYFUSS is a bag brand that garnishes immense support from Parisian women for its chic and fashion-forward style. The designer, Jérôme Dreyfuss, was born in France in 1974. After studying fashion at ESMOD, he worked for John Galliano for two years before debuting his women's collection in 1998. He then transitioned to bag design, launching his first bag collection in 2003. His designs, which are elegant yet functional and infused with esprit in every detail, quickly became a sensation among fashion-conscious women.

Regarding the inspiration behind starting his brand, Dreyfuss shared, "A female friend told me she couldn't find a bag without a logo, which sparked the idea for me to become a bag designer. Today's women juggle careers and childcare while also needing to be stylish every day – it's incredibly demanding. I wanted to create highly functional, practical bags for them."

The brand currently boasts three stores in Paris, as well as directly managed stores in New York and Seoul, with plans to open a flagship store in London soon, marking its rapidly growing popularity.

The brand's charm also lies in its playful design sensibility, such as naming all bags after men's names, reflecting the desire for the bags to be close companions to their loved ones, and including compact accessories like "penlights" and "can openers."

The first Japanese store, located on Ura-Aoyama Street, features a sophisticated atmosphere with its lattice-like interior design. Dreyfuss, who has an interest in Japanese architecture, participated in the store's design himself, creating a space that embodies a Japanese modern aesthetic. To commemorate the opening, a limited edition of the brand's bestseller, the "Bobby" bag, was released, featuring the inscription "BOBI ♡ TOKYO." The "Bobby" is a popular shoulder bag renowned for its compact size and exceptional practicality, with three internal compartments and expandable gussets via side zippers. It can be worn in three ways by changing the strap.

"When I first started the brand, a Japanese buyer was my very first customer. I am grateful for the support I've received from so many people in Japan over the years. I am truly happy that one of my dreams has come true with the opening of this flagship shop in Tokyo," Dreyfuss shared.
