A Highly Anticipated Flagship Store Opens in Aoyama

JEANPAULKNOTT, the fashion brand originating from Belgium, has opened its flagship store, "JEANPAULKNOTT Aoyama." This marks their second street-level boutique, following the "KNOT Shop" in Brussels, Belgium, which combines a shop and gallery.

A Modern, Clean Store with a Garden Entrance

Designer Jean-Paul Knott was born in Brussels in 1966. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, he worked as an assistant to Yves Saint Laurent before launching his eponymous collection, "JEANPAULKNOTT," in 2000. In 2006, he developed the collaborative line "KNOTT GALERIE VIE" (now "KNOTT") with Tomorrowland, and in 2008, "KNOTT GALERIE VIE" was presented in a show format at Paris Haute Couture. Since 2012, he has also been designing his first jewelry collection, steadily establishing his unique worldview. In February of this year, "JEANPAULKNOTT Umeda Hankyu" opened, making it one of the brands to watch with great anticipation for future endeavors.

The newly opened "JEANPAULKNOTT Aoyama" features a clean, white-dominant atmosphere, with a monochrome palette as its base, where both the floor and walls are entirely white. Its most distinctive feature is the garden at the entrance. The entrance, created with a border of concrete and greenery, is designed to incorporate nature, with lush foliage even in winter. The store is laid out on a single floor, and chairs crafted by the designer of Valérie Cerutti specifically for Jean-Paul Knott are also on display.
