An Artistic Lion Appears

Debuting in Spring 2013, "PRINGLE 1815" inherits the identity of the nearly 200-year-old British brand, Pringle of Scotland, while offering more contemporary pieces. Since its debut, its advertising visuals, characterized by humor and impact through collaborations with emerging artists, have also been a talking point.

For the Autumn/Winter 2014 season, Pringle 1815 enlisted Cosmic Nuggets, who are active based in Scotland. Cosmic Nuggets excels in illustration and character design, with their work characterized by the creation of "a brand new fantastic world where all sorts of creatures gather for a giant party." This campaign features an original lion adorned in argyle pieces. The lion interacts with models in various ways in the catalog and unfolds a unique artistic worldview across four short films.

The 2014 Women's Autumn/Winter collection from PRINGLE 1815 is themed "NEW CLASSIC." As Creative Director Taichi Higashi explains, "The image is about incorporating elements inspired by menswear into ladies' items." While incorporating menswear details like pinstripes from men's suits and glen check trousers, the collection achieves a feminine impression through its silhouettes and use of patterns.

Additionally, the lineup includes patterns that reconstruct traditional tartan checks into pixelated forms, as well as playful fur items.
