Expressing the Vibrant 'Market' of a New Tribe

Dover Street Market Ginza (DSMG) has undergone its first major renovation since opening. The Loewe installation, unveiled to mark the reopening, is themed around "futuristic tribal."

artist Stephanie QuayleNew collection leather cushions are piled like cargo on the back of an elephant object, created by Stephanie Quayle, an artist based in the UK. This creates an atmosphere as if an elephant, having just transported a large amount of goods, has arrived at Dover Street. Around it, mannequins with striking white wigs wearing fisherman trousers, along with bags and small leather goods, are displayed as if for sale at a market. The connection to Dover Street Market's "market" concept, a touch of Jonathan's signature humor, is palpable.



Jonathan Anderson commented on the installation: "I wanted to express a worldview like a new tribe, utilizing the impressive elephant objects." The first collection from the new Loewe under Jonathan Anderson is now available at Dover Street Market Ginza.
