"3.1 Phillip Lim Microcosm," the limited-term concept store that opened this spring on the 3rd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Building's "Center Park," is open for six months. Under the concept of "Microcosm," the store condenses the brand's style—cool, easy, and chic—along with the unique sensibility of designer Phillip Lim, who is well-versed in culture. Throughout its duration, the store's interior and spatial design will change five times, embodying the collection's worldview.

The fourth iteration is developed around the theme of "Industrial Rave," which is also the theme for the 2014 Pre-Fall collection. "Industrial Rave" refers to large-scale music events featuring continuous dance music throughout the night. The store interior, designed by architect Tsuyoshi Nagasaka (Schemata Architects), creates a modern space based on stripes. Environmental music by Keiji Mutaguchi of WHITELIGHT fills the space, making it a shop where one can experience not only fashion but also culture, music, and art through all five senses.
