This collaboration came to fruition when Issey Miyake saw Kazumasa Nagai's exhibition, which included posters from the "LIFE" series in 2013. Both share a philosophy of constant creation through repeated deconstruction, never settling for self-imitation.

The collection draws inspiration from Nagai's vibrant five-color poster from 1993—red, blue, yellow, green, and purple—aiming to infuse it with the lightness and freedom of PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE, and to breathe life into it. Through repeated trial and error, the flat artworks transform into three-dimensional garments when worn, creating clothing where the animals seem to come alive with the wearer.

Available for a limited time starting April 17 (Thursday) at PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE / AOYAMA (until May 8) and ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE / GINZA (until May 7), and on the ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE WEB STORE. From May 10 (Saturday), available at PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE / ROPPONGI and ELTTOB TEP ISSEY MIYAKE / SEMBA (until May 30). From June 5 (Thursday), the collection will be available at PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE shops nationwide.

Additionally, the works will be exhibited at the "Kazumasa Nagai Poster Life 1957-2014" exhibition, opening April 19 (Saturday) at The Museum of Modern Art, Toyama, with select items also available for purchase at the museum shop.
