Japan's Only Direct-Operated Store Opens in Ginza



The flagship boutique of Austrian brand "Wolford," globally renowned as the "haute couture of stockings," will open its doors in Ginza on Saturday, March 15th.

Since its founding in Austria in 1950, Wolford has been dedicated to enhancing the beauty of the female form. The brand pioneered the world's first seamless stockings, creating a rich array of innovative legwear and establishing its firm position as the "haute couture of stockings." Yet, not resting on its laurels, the final stages of production still involve an average of 2.5 hours of handcrafting per pair by artisans. This meticulous attention to detail is likely why celebrities and women worldwide are captivated, finding it impossible to switch once they've experienced Wolford.


For its sole direct-operated store in Japan, the brand, with approximately 260 stores globally, chose Ginza, the heart of fashion. The store features a distinctive black-toned facade and an interior designed to evoke a comfortable, private ambiance. In this relaxed setting, befitting the selection of items worn closest to the skin, customers can fully indulge in discovering a total look that suits their individual skin tone and style.






To commemorate the opening of the direct-operated store, exclusive Ginza items from the edgy yet elegant legwear line will be introduced. The "SERENA TIGHTS" boast an aggressive design with a mix of sheer and opaque patterns. The oval dots enhance the leg's appearance, adding impact to simple outfits. The "BOOTLACE TIGHTS," perfect for pairing with mini skirts, feature a feminine design with stretch satin ribbons woven through the dotted tights. The ribbons, which also extend vertically, create a slimming effect, promising a leg-lengthening appearance.
