Vancouver Fashion Week 2014 to be Held
Vancouver Fashion Week will be held from Tuesday, March 18th to Monday, March 24th at the Chinese Cultural Centre. Japanese designer Yushi Takahashi has already confirmed his participation, promising a show not to be missed.

Discovering Talented Designers Early On
Vancouver Fashion Week is a unique fashion show that invites emerging designers from around the globe. It is currently the second-largest fashion event in North America, following New York Fashion Week, and this year marks its 14th iteration. The show's concept revolves around being a 'gateway for emerging designers' and an 'international showcase.' Its purpose is to spotlight promising new designers with immense potential, providing them with a platform to advance and supporting their future endeavors.
With each event, the level of attention grows, and the previous show attracted approximately 20,000 visitors. This year, an even larger scale is anticipated, with over 40 designers from various countries set to present. The participation of Japanese designer Yushi Takahashi has also been confirmed.
Yushi Takahashi is a fashion designer from Gifu. After graduating from Bunka Fashion College's couture program in 2009, he launched his own fashion brand, "Yuhshi Takahashi," in 2013. The brand's concept is 'items that awaken the stories within people's hearts.' He aims to create clothing that allows individuals to discover a different side of themselves, pieces they'd want to wear even just for a day off. Furthermore, he emphasizes materials and silhouettes, striving for a near one-of-a-kind feel that cannot be achieved through mass production. His collections are primarily composed of black and white, featuring designs that evoke a sense of ephemerality and fragility.
Event founder Jamal Abdourahman expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "We want this fashion show to be a wonderful and memorable experience for everyone involved."
