A Fusion of Art and Fashion Unveiled

Jean Paul Nott was born in Brussels in 1966. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 1988, he worked as an assistant to Yves Saint Laurent before launching his own collection, "JEANPAULNOTT," in 2000.

He has also collaborated with Tomorrowland since 2006. In addition to the women's line "knott," a men's line, "knott men," has been available since the Autumn/Winter 2013 season. Furthermore, he launched his haute couture collection in 2006 and a jewelry collection in 2008. The brand, now garnering global attention, captivates with its elegant lines that emerge from simple pieces.

Now, JEANPAULNOTT makes its Japanese debut, establishing a new shop at Hankyu Umeda Main Store. To commemorate this opening, an exhibition of "knott" and "knott men," the collaborative brands with Tomorrowland, will be held at Omotesando Hills.

The exhibition will showcase, for the first time in Japan, the concept behind "knott shop," the space where art and fashion converge, operated by Jean Paul Nott in his native Belgium. The art space will also feature works by three internationally acclaimed Japanese artists: Sohei Nishino, who creates art using photographs he has taken; photographer Keisuke Nagoshi; and video artist Masayuki Kawai.

This new shop and exhibition offer a chance to immerse oneself in the world of designer Jean Paul Nott. It's an opportunity to discover his sophisticated, art-like pieces that embody the beauty of negative space.
