Spring/Summer 2014 Collection Returns to the Brand's Origins

This Season's Theme: "THINGS OF BEAUTY"

A Collection Conscious of Clothing's True Nature

"No matter how much we pursue femininity, a menswear perspective is always incorporated," says Hiroshi Ozawa. "It's not simply about 'menswear-like' clothing; we've pursued feminine beauty by utilizing the basics, materials, and color palettes characteristic of menswear. This season's theme, 'Things of Beauty,' embodies the idea of creating the inherent, simple beauty of women with Intimate Diary's unique originality."

Compared to last year's Spring/Summer collection, "this season moves away from gimmicks and surprises, focusing on a collection that is conscious of clothing's true nature. Re-examining our origins as a menswear brand, we've increased the presence of basic, traditional items and styling," Ozawa explains.

"Lace x Stripes": Enhancing Cuteness and Elegance

A notable styling features a set-up of a collarless coat and cargo skirt. At first glance, it appears to be linen, but it's actually made of polyester, making it lightweight and wrinkle-resistant. The inner layer is a new version of Intimate Diary's signature lace shirt.

Furthermore, while the "lace x stripes" pattern-on-pattern combination might seem challenging, it surprisingly wears effortlessly, and its ability to enhance both cuteness and elegance is noteworthy.
