Perforated Leather and Mesh: Focus on Spring/Summer Leather Items
Pastel Colors and Chic Black-and-White Bi-Colors
This spring, Tod's will feature ready-to-wear alongside bags and shoes in stores. The designer chosen as creative director is Alessandra Facchinetti, a popular designer who has also worked for Gucci. A small show was presented at Milan Fashion Week in September.
White, gray, black, bordeaux, and pink. The coordination, which relies on a limited color palette, materials, and silhouettes, exudes elegance. The combination of cotton and perforated leather feels authentic. An open-collar shirt with an embroidered flared skirt, an intrecciato leather jacket with balloon shorts... couture techniques are evident throughout. Nude sandals complete the look. The bag variations are also abundant. Facchinetti, who has also designed for Valentino after Gucci, brings her signature relaxed elegance, which is exciting to see.
This is Bruno Magli's second year with Max Kibardin as creative director. This season, they presented a show-style presentation. The colorful palette, perfect for spring and summer, is charming. The heritage brand, which excels in wearability and comfort, has become significantly more youthful.
