For next spring, optical colors will be joined by black and white bi-colors.
Focus on a Sharp, Feminine Aesthetic

I found them! A new brand to watch in Paris... "Piece d'Anarchive." The designers are the beautiful French sisters Deborah and Priscila Royer. They have a showroom in Place des Vosges and are in their second year on a showroom basis. In October, they held their first presentation incorporating video and art.

Their knitwear-centric pieces offer an elegant line with a sporty touch. They pair graphical intarsia knits with square-cut lace bottoms. Topped with a cap or hood, and finished with wedge-soled basket shoes. Cool and feminine. The meticulous construction and quality truly shine.

PIECE D’ANARCHIVE Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

I met Bouchra Jarrar, the designer, at the couture collection in July. After working as an assistant designer at Balenciaga, she went independent. Inspired by the archival pieces she saw at Balenciaga then, she now incorporates that craftsmanship into her own work. Her collections are 70% ready-to-wear and 30% couture. "I want to create real couture clothes," says Bouchra. Her simple, seamless I-line silhouettes begin with yarn selection and material creation. She pairs them with leather biker jackets.

While both brands come with a considerable luxury price tag, you'll understand why once you see the pieces.
