A Gold Logo, Fitting for a New Year Celebration
Founder Jean Cassegrain named his brand "Longchamp" after witnessing the thoroughbreds racing at the Longchamp Racecourse in Paris, wishing for his brand to "always move forward like these horses." The logo also features a galloping thoroughbred, and even after 65 years since its inception, it remains a beloved symbol of the brand worldwide.
Now, Longchamp is releasing a bag inspired by the upcoming zodiac animal of 2014, the Year of the Horse. The limited edition "Le Pliage® Héritage" bag, a favorite among fashionistas, serves as the base for this new design, featuring a bold, gold horse motif. The patent-finished cowhide adds a lustrous touch. The detachable shoulder strap boasts a two-tone finish, offering different colors on each side. Available in Noir and Rouge. In Japan, sales begin on December 3rd (Tuesday), followed by releases in China, France, and other select countries and regions.
This limited edition bag seems poised to bring good fortune. Make it your lucky charm for 2014.
