A Chic Collection with a Playful Twist

While wedding attire has long been a motif for VIKTOR & ROLF, notably showcased in the finale of their Spring/Summer 2011 collection with a parade of wedding dresses transforming the white shirt, they are now finally launching a full-fledged bridal capsule collection. This marks the fifth installment in their capsule collection series, following "Little Black Dress," "White Shirt," "Trench Coat," and "Soirée Dress."

The collection is composed of light and fresh, modern styles that disregard tradition. A long stretch crepe dress is rendered exceptionally elegant with a bow detail at the back. A stretch crepe jumpsuit with an ankle-length pant offers a mannish vibe, while a silk crepe shirt dress featuring a floor-length train presents a uniquely individual finish. Also in the lineup are a strapless knee-length trapeze dress with curved ruffles at the hem, a taffeta V-neck dress with voluminous irregular tiered pleats, and a strapless ballgown dress with separate volumes for the skirt and top.





Designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren commented, "We have always wanted to design bridal wear because wedding dresses carry such deep meaning and emotion. It's fun to add a playful touch to classic items like the white shirt or the little black dress. It's the perfect frame for presenting fresh looks with a lovely, whimsical twist on existing codes."
