Unwavering Style

Mature Womenswear and the Eternal Hermès Style
Haider Ackermann is someone who has established his own style with absolute conviction. He excels at combining long lengths, and his styling, cinching the waist with wide leather belts or fabric sashes, makes the clothes appear customized.
For Autumn/Winter 13-14, the focus was on silhouettes that fell straight, with the waist defined without the use of belts. Herringbone and houndstooth patterns, a mix of black and white, are the key trend materials this autumn. Tweed also presents a sharp, sophisticated look when paired with flowing drapes or lustrous satin.
At first glance, these looks might seem difficult to wear, but they work by emphasizing the slender parts of the body. This is mature womenswear that cannot be pulled off by the young.
Hermès maintains its brand identity. This season's collection, held in an old library filled with vintage books, featured a variety of antique chairs. The leather and cashmere double-faced coats, paired with dresses and pantsuits, are simple and modern. This is the eternal Hermès style.
