A Marathon Event Designed with Women in Mind

RunGirl, a collective of female runners from the media, fashion, and beauty industries, operates with the concept "Enriching everyday life with the power of women who run." This year, they are hosting "RunGirl★Night," a marathon event meticulously planned and managed from a woman's perspective.

The event features two courses: 10km and 5km. The start time is set for 4:30 PM, allowing participants to run without worrying about sunburn. Thoughtful amenities, such as ample changing room space, are provided, reflecting the event's signature attention to detail that appeals to fashion-conscious joggers. This year's highly anticipated participant gift is a pair of beach sandals, a collaboration with Genbei of Hayama, which will be given to all runners.

Following the race, an open-air picnic-style after-party will be held on the park's lawns as the summer evening descends. This year marks a transformation of the venue, allowing family and friends who come to cheer to enjoy the entire event, from the run to the party, creating a vibrant picnic atmosphere. Guests can indulge in food and drinks amidst a setting inspired by a "night amusement park," complete with live performances, a night market, and the ever-popular runway fashion show. As in previous years, a portion of the participation fee—500 yen—will be donated to the NPO Breast Cancer Research Group, and charity merchandise will also be available on the day of the event.

In addition to recruiting 1,000 runners, the event is also seeking 100 support staff. During the day, staff will assist with event operations, and in the evening, they can enjoy the party as guests alongside the runners.

"RunGirl★Night" is a testament to the thoughtful considerations born from a uniquely female perspective. It's a special celebration for women runners, welcoming not only seasoned joggers but also those who may not have found the right opportunity to enjoy running yet.
