Launching a Project to Nurture Young Poets with Youth Support Organizations

Vivienne Westwood, the iconic British fashion designer, has launched a project to foster and support young poets, in collaboration with her environmental activism initiative "Climate Revolution" and the youth mentoring program "YOUYOU Mentoring."

A New Project for Young Poets

"Climate Revolution," founded by Vivienne Westwood, is a community that encourages action and everyday efforts to protect the future by raising awareness about the climate crisis facing our planet. Through this project, participating young poets will create poems themed around "Climate Revolution," aiming to help young people recognize and deepen their understanding of the Earth's current state.

The initiative will select five poets aged 17 to 21 from London. These five individuals will participate in a special masterclass led by contemporary poets and special guests. The project will culminate in a private poetry reading at Keats House, the former residence of the celebrated British poet John Keats, hosted by Vivienne Westwood, where the selected poets will present their work. The entire process will be documented on film.

Vivienne Westwood, also known for her active support of environmental protection in recent years, stated, "I am delighted to be able to support this initiative through YOUYOU Mentoring and to provide such an opportunity for creative young individuals."

Brenda Ramsay, founder of YOUYOU Mentoring, commented, "This collaborative project is a wonderful opportunity for young poets to learn from one of the world's most creative and truly original artists. It will be a coveted leap forward for them, allowing them to elevate their talents at the very beginning of their poetic careers."
